I'm working on a project evaluating coffee grinders and needed to measure the weight of the coffee after being ground (in grams) in order to compare different grind settings. The scales I have won't weigh very small amounts (5-150 grams) accurately but this scale works perfectly! Not only does it weigh in grams, but also in ounces (oz), troy ounces (ozt), and pennyweight (dwt).

And, it has a "double tare" feature. If you have a container on the scale when you first turn it on, the scale starts at "zero". But, if you decide to change containers, there is a "tare" button you can push to zero out the scale for the new container. I also like the fact that it uses two AAA batteries instead of button batteries which don't last nearly as long.

The hard plastic case doubles as small and large measuring trays and it also comes with a vinyl case which covers everything. The swing-out feature makes reading the display easier and the display is back-lit. The unit is SMALL - less than 4 inches square and less than ¾ inch thick, but it works great for me.

And while writing this, I was thinking back to my times as a technician many years ago "we didn't have such technology then and to get it now for $10 bucks - WOW!".

I really like the style of this scale, the way the side pops out and the cover that comes with it. And the price is really great, I pay here half of what I would pay for something similar or worse at a head shop. When it first came in I was so pissed because I thought it didn't weigh correctly, then I realized I had it on the wrong setting! Works just as it should, but make sure to weigh on a flat surface for the most accurate results. I've had no problems with it thus far.
