I have been eyeballing digital scales for quite some time now. While I am perfectly capable of measuring with more primitive kitchen implements? I bake quite a bit and almost every week I run into a recipe that calls for things measured in grams. Usually on UK or Australian sites. Those people are overly fond of the metric system. I can do the conversion but it detracts from the fun of baking or making candy.

I needed a scale that was capable of measuring in both grams and ounces and didn't require an advanced degree to figure out how to switch between the 2. This scale? Had that. All you have to do is push the left button until the measurement type is the one you want. Dead simple to operate. It is also incredibly sensitive. After I weighed a potato I picked up a bread tie and threw that on there. Weighed that, too.

I hadn't considered getting one that also measured pounds? But this one also does that. Which will make my recipes that specify X lbs. of chicken or fish much more accurate. I am quite pleased with this scale. It is simple to operate, doesn't take up a ton of counter space, and versatile in both how and what it can measure. Well worth it.
